There is no sugar coating it, washing your hair is annoying. Don’t we all secretly wish we had a glam team to get us ready every morning? If you’re like most people, it’s not happening anytime soon, so an alternative is needed.
We asked Amanda, our Graphic Designer, to take the Dirty 4 Days challenge while at the beach. She has medium to coarse hair, but not tons of it. She went the entire time not washing her hair and still slayed every look! Check out her looks and products used below!
Day One
Day one is your glamorous day. Since you just washed your hair, you have many options. Amanda chose to keep it simple with a blowout. She used Cibu’s Knot So Knotty Detangling spray right out of the shower. The name says it all when it comes to detangling the hair. An added bonus is its lightweight formula and amazing scent. Prior to her blowout, she used a nickel sized amount of Bumble & Bumble’s Repair Blowdry Serum. This seals split ends while protecting against heat, breakage, and UV damage. This product will also maintain a soft, smooth and healthy blowout for up to 3 days. The blowdry serum worked great for Amanda because she colors her hair regularly. If your hair isn’t as damaged, other blowdry serums would be a better option. One of our other favorites is Pureology’s Smooth Perfection Style & Care Infusion!
Day Two
Day two should still be pretty glamorous. Your blowout may not be as bouncy, but a light refresh should bring it back. Amanda chose to change up her look a little. With the volume of her blowout still intact, she curled her ends with a curling iron to create loose waves. To freshen up her roots, she used Cibu’s KaPow Dry Shampoo. KaPow also came in handy on her ends to enhance the texture. She finished this look with Cibu’s Finista, creating a workable hold.
Day Three
Day three can get a little tricky. Braids are a safe go-to regardless of your agenda for the day. French braids worked perfectly for Amanda; it is a cute look that kept her hair out of her face. Similar to Day Two, she used KaPow throughout her hair to create texture and Finista to smooth out any flyaways or frizz. The tighter you have your braids, the longer they will last. Day Four
For the final day of our challenge, Amanda let her braids out and embraced the texture they created. This is one of the awesome benefits of braiding! This time, she focused KaPow on her roots only, and used Bumble and Bumble’s Surf Infusion Spray to enhance her waves. This helped seal the texture as well!
