Find a Coral Shade That’s Right for You

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Pantone announced the 2019 Color of the Year and it’s Living Coral! Pantone called the shade “an animating and life-affirming shade of orange with a gold undertone.” Coral is a fun, happy color, mixing together shades of pink and orange and never really sticking to just one set hue. This is precisely the reason behind Pantone’s choice, as they wanted the color to be a happy counterpoint to the less pleasant parts of modern life, stating “it’s a reaction to the onslaught of digital technology and social media.” They wanted Living Coral to “symbolize the need for optimism and joyful pursuits and authentic and immersive experiences that enable connection and intimacy.” Here at Bubbles, we couldn’t agree more! Let’s bring in the good vibes! We are excited to bring this vibrant color alive on the biggest statement piece we have: our hair.

With spring right around the corner (and summer not far behind), changing your hair color is already on your mind, so why not step out of your comfort zone and try coral? With the warmer weather also comes festivals and with festivals comes festival HAIR! What better way to stand out than having coral locks? The beautiful thing about this color is that it can be bright and loud for those who want to go all in, but can also be subtle and pretty for those who just want to get their feet wet. You can choose all over color, balayage, or ombre! Bubbles is here to show you different shade variations and color options for the color of the year, so you know what to ask your Salon Professional when you make the change!

If you don’t want to be too bright, then this shade would work best for you. It is especially ideal for those who already have blonde hair. This shade of coral is blended more on the light pink side of the coral spectrum.

Sure, pink is cute and all, but orange is definitely different! We don’t mean the nasty orange your hair turns to when it isn’t toned correctly, we mean the pretty, warm-toned coral orange pictured here. This is a great option for the natural brunettes.

This is for all the mermaid and unicorn hair lovers! This balayage option is great and can work for the natural blondes and brunettes. It’s more cool-toned all over, fading from a true pink to a golden coral.

Ok, so you know you want to go all in and have bright hair, but you also can’t say goodbye to your natural hair. NO worries-you can ask your Salon Professinal for this ombre option! You can keep your own hair color from the roots halfway down, and make the bottom half of your hair vivid and vibrant coral!

See? SO many options when it comes to Living Coral! Still unsure? Visit a salon professional at any of our Bubbles locations and they can help guide you to a shade of this gorgeous color that works best for not only your hair type, hair color, and skin tone, but also your personality!
